FENIX Credit Accounts

By accepting or having been given the opportunity to use a Fenix credit account (this means that if you get a radiator or condenser without prior paying you agree to the below), you agree that you must pay by the time outlined to you in the monthly statement. If you choose not to pay by the time dated you will be charged a 2% per month finance fee or if prolonged non payment occurs you will be debt collected for the total amount owed plus you will pay the debt collection fee (most times these are around 20-25% of the total amount that is owed. The owner of your company also agrees to being personally responsible for any debts that are owed by your company to Fenix.)

1 Year 25000Km Warranty

Radiators and condensers supplied by Fenix are to be warranted to be free from any material defects and workmanship defects as long as they are installed in the correct vehicle which the radiator or condenser was designed for, for a period of 1 year or 25,000 km (what ever occurs first) from the date of purchase and used under normal operating conditions. Note. FENIX radiators and condensers are only warranted to certain installation conditions outlaid in the following pages. Warranties of FENIX products will only apply but are not limited to: if the cars cooling system has been checked to be in good working condition before installation of the new radiator or condenser, the cooling system must be checked for stray electrical currents and be correctly fixed and checked by a proven auto electrician before a new radiator or condenser is installed. Also the cooling system must be cleaned, flushed and have no residue, deposits of dirt, minerals or old antifreeze prior to the new radiator or condenser being installed. When installing the new radiator or condenser according to the car manufacturer’s recommendations, new anti-freeze must be added to the radiator, the new anti freeze should not be mixed with any other new or old anti freeze, otherwise the FENIX warranty will be void (excluding condensers). The warranty will only be accepted but not limited to if a suitable coolant is used. The coolant used must reach or be better than the standards of the coolant in which the vehicle manufacturer recommends. Also after installation of the radiator or condenser, the installer must be satisfied that there are no problems or stray currents with the cooling system, and must make sure that all drain plugs and sensors are secure.   The warranty does not apply to: - Corrosion or negligence of any party.   - The correct anti-freeze or mixed anti freeze has been used or no anti-freeze at all.   - The cost of removal or replacement of an S.L radiator.   - Damage to any other part or parts of the car or any other property outside of the vehicle.   - Any labour, part or service costs, resulting from a faulty radiator.   - Conditions to which the vehicle has been in are not recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.   - Products that have been subject to accident damage or simply resulting from misuse or the acts of nature.   - The radiator is being used in a race car.   - The radiator is being used in a taxi   - The radiator is being used in some types of commercial vehicles. For example a commercial vehicle that is used for prolonged periods of time with the engine on while stationary.   -The radiator has been modified prior to installation.   - The radiator is being used in an application it wasn’t designed for, such as a radiator being used in a highly modified vehicle or in any other application other than the original vehicle it was designed for.   FENIX will not be liable for any of the following.   - Overheating problems caused by the radiator, resulting in other parts of the car being damaged, there are clear mechanisms and tools for the driver to notice if there is a problem with the vehicles cooling system prior to dangerous levels of overheating, these include temperature gauges and clear visible signs of steam arising from the engine.     - Transmission problems that have been caused by the radiator. If a cars transmission is not working properly the driver should get their car checked as soon as they notice a problem. S.L Trade will not be liable for a radiator damaging a transmission due to driver ignorance.   - Damaged parts of a vehicle caused by a driver continuing to drive after minor levels of overheating have occurred.

Installation

FENIX shall only warrant radiators if the radiator or condenser was installed by an authorised radiator/ condenser technician or professional. And all the necessary steps were taken when installing the radiator/condenser, such as checking for electrolysis, using the correct radiator flush process to flush out old anti-freeze and dirt/debris, checking all fan mounts and pipes are secured, physically check that the cooling system is in good working order, correct anti-freeze has been used in the new radiator, once the new radiator has been installed the installer has run the car to normal operating temperature and has checked that there are no leaks or over heating, ensuring that the cooling system is working properly. Notes when installing complete radiators and radiator products Before installing the new radiator, there are a few things the installer needs to check. Firstly the installer needs to check for stray current. Stray current often finds its way to the cooling system through either accident damage or faulty electronic devices within the engine or car. Stray current attacks anything aluminium in the cars engine creating fast acting corrosion and ultimately failure of the cars aluminium components including aluminium radiators (termed electrolysis). To check for stray currents you will need to use an analogue voltmeter or a similar stray current detector. NOTE: DO NOT MIX COOLANTS; they can have potentially harmful chemical reactive results. It is also recommended to re-flush and add new radiator coolant to the vehicles cooling system every 1 year or 25,000 Kilometres. WARNING: Do not place any body part over or near the radiator when it is hot. Also DO NOT open the radiator cap when the radiator is hot, it would be very harmful and may seriously burn you. FENIX will not take any responsibility for such carelessness.

Goods Return

All returned products must be returned to FENIX in the original condition they were sent out, e.g. free from damage to either the radiator/condenser or the box the radiator/condenser arrived in, a re-stocking fee may also apply.

Warranty Return

Any products returned to FENIX for warranty must be returned to the closest FENIX branch along with proof and date of purchase. FENIX will not be responsible for any courier or postal fees. All warranty products before warranty is confirmed will be accessed and tested by FENIX to ensure the product is warrantable. FENIX will have the final say on this. For products that are agreed to be warranted FENIX will provide a replacement, credit or refund for the original purchase price.
